Kenneth L. Brigham, MD
Associate Vice President and Director of the Predictive Health Institute

As director of the Emory/Georgia Tech Predictive Health Institute, Dr. Brigham is guiding an institution wide effort to focus a spectrum of essential disciplines on human health with the goal of creating and validating a new paradigm of health and healing for the 21st century. Dr. Brigham is a professor of medicine in the Emory University School of Medicine and director of the Center for Translational Research of the Lung. He is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in the pathogenesis of lung injury, gene therapy technology, and the application of gene therapy to a spectrum of inherited and acquired lung disorders. He received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University and trained in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins University and in pulmonary research at the University of California at San Francisco. He was on the faculty of Vanderbilt University from 1973 until 2002, when he joined Emory University School of Medicine.
Michelle Lampl, MD, PhD
Associate Director, Predictive Health Institute

As associate director of the Emory/Georgia Tech Predictive Health Institute, Dr. Lampl helps guide the implementation of the institute's main objective - to maintain health and identify preemptive remedies rather than treat disease. She is focused on integrating the connections between physical, mental and spiritual health. A biological anthropologist and Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Anthropology at Emory, Dr. Lampl centers her research on human growth and development, with a focus on fetal and infant stages of life. Building on her landmark research documenting that children grow in discrete spurts, Dr. Lampl investigates the mechanisms of growth, which include genetics and environmental factors. Her current research work includes the nutritional, immunological and hormonal networks that interact with behavior to influence developmental processes. Dr. Lampl has served as adjunct faculty, Department of Pediatrics, Emory School of Medicine. She received her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Lynn Cunningham, MS, MBA
Administrative Director, Predictive Health Institute

As administrative director, Mr. Cunningham oversees the operational and strategic development of the Emory/Georgia Tech Predictive Health Institute in support of the efforts of Dr. Brigham and Dr. Lampl. His work includes managing the many faculty work groups required to bring the institute into being, building and implementing strategic plans, developing financial models for operations and long-term growth, liaising across the Emory departments and schools, and maintaining coordination with Georgia Tech administration and faculty. A microbiologist by training, Mr. Cunningham received his master's degree in microbiology from Indiana University, Bloomington, and his M.B.A. from the University of Southern Indiana. He was previously the Vice Chair for Administration and Finance for Pathology at Vanderbilt University and Associate Professor of Medical Administration.
Jennifer Vazquez, MS
Associate Administrative Director, Predictive Health Institute

As associate administrative director, Ms. Vazquez oversees daily operations for the Emory/Georgia Tech Predictive Health Institute in support of the efforts of the faculty and the administrative director. Her work includes managing the Center for Health Discovery and Well Being including the Partners, facilities and operational issues, the annual Predictive Health symposia and other department events, coordinating departmental committees, administrative operations including human resources and procurement, grant and institutional review processes, as well as educational initiatives at the undergraduate and graduate level. She has held similar administrative positions at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Arizona State University. Ms. Vazquez received her master's degree in higher education from Drexel University.
Ashley Teal
Program Coordinator, Predictive Health Institute
As program coordinator, Ms. Teal oversees financial and procurement operations for the Center for Health Discovery and Well Being. She is responsible for front end operations and is actively involved in the marketing and business development activities for the Center for Health Discovery and Well Being. She also provides strategic and financial support to the administrative director for the Emory/Georgia Tech Predictive Health Institute. Ms. Teal received her Bachelor's degree in Broadcast News and Sociology from the University of Georgia. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration.
